IAC GIRLS BOWLING: PLOUSE LEADS WAVERLY TO SEASON-OPENING SWEEP OF NOTRE DAME (2019-12-03)

WAVERLY "” Senior Mackenzie Plouse banged out a 638 series to lead Waverly to a season-opening sweep of Large School rival Notre Dame here Tuesday afternoon in IAC bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Wolverines won each of the three games by at least by 191 pins en route to a total-pinfall victory of 2,679 to 1,921.

Plouse had games of 215, 233, and 190 for her match-high series, while 8th-grader Rachel Houseknecht rolled a 593 series on games of 211, 190, and 192, and freshman Victoria Houseknecht had a 546 series, including a 211.

Senior Morgan Lee had a 434 for the Lady Wolverines, while senior Sadie VanAllen added a 425, and senior Megan Lee tacked on a 409.

Shantilly Decker rolled a 471 in reserve for Waverly.

Gwen Harrington led Notre Dame with a 445 series.

Waverly hosts Dryden Thursday.
