IAC GIRLS BOWLING: TIOGA DROPS TIGHTLY-CONTESTED 3-1 DECISION TO O-M (2019-12-05)

WAVERLY - TIoga won its first game of the season, but dropped a tightly-contested, 3-1, decision to Odessa-Montour here Thursday afternoon in IAC Small School girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Tigers, now 1-7,  won the first game 659-601, but the Lady Indians answered with a 668-605 win in the second to game to take a five-pin lead in total pinfall into the third game. O-M won the third game 626-625 for a total-pinfall victory of 1,895 to 1,889.

Senior Bailey Elston led Tioga with a 465 series, including a 181 in the first game, while junior Destini Sweet rolled a 394, and senior Mackenzie Macumber had a 356.

Junior Cassie Birney shot a 334 for the Lady Tigers, while freshman Caroline Chapman added a 333, and junior Millie Grantham tacked on a 275.

Freshman BobbiJo Tarbox rolled a 340 in reserve for Tioga.

Jane Arias led O-M with a 423.

Tioga returns to action Saturday in the IAC Kick-Off Tournament at the Valley Bowling Center.
