IAC GIRLS BOWLING: WAVERLY SWEEPS SHORT-HANDED DRYDEN (2019-12-05)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY - Freshman Victoria Houseknecht led Waverly to a sweep of short-handed Dryden here Thursday afternoon in IAC Large School girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.
The Lady Wolverines, now 8-0, rolled games of 754, 727, and 727 for a total-pinfall of 2,208, while the Lady Purple Lions, in their first year as a program, have just one bowler.
Victoria Houseknecht rolled a 495 series, while freshman Shantilly Decker shot a 457, 8th-grader Rachel Houseknecht had a 445, and senior Sadie VanAllen added a 439.
Senior Morgan Lee had a 359 for Waverly, and senior Megan Lee tacked on a 340.
Junior Haley Kittle shot a 367 for the Lady Wolverines in reserve.
Stella Becraft led Dryden with a 246 series.
Waverly returns to action Saturday in the IAC Kick-Off Tournament at the Valley Bowling Center.
