NTL SWIMMING: ELK LAKE GIRLS BEST SAYRE, 113-50 (2019-12-09)

DIMOCK, Pa. "” Seniors Jillian Shay and Kayla Hughey were double-winner, but Sayre dropped a 113-50 decision to Elk Lake here Monday afternoon in NTL girls swimming action.

The Sayre boys, with just two swimmers on the roster, did not score a point.

Jillian Shay won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:38.08. She also won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:18.45.

Shay qualified for the District 4 meet in the 200 IM and the 500 free.

Hughey won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.69 seconds. She also won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:05.29

Senior Jordyn Maxim finished third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:50.43, while freshman Elizabeth Boyle was third in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:45.81, sophomore Jade Fairlie was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:55.65, and freshman Makenna Garrison finished third in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:52.39.

Sayre returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Elk Lake.
