IAC BOWLING: TIOGA BOYS SWEEP EDISON; LADY TIGERS DROP 3-1 DECISION (2020-01-07)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY "” The Tioga boys earned four points against an incomplete Thomas A. Edison here Tuesday afternoon, while the Lady Tigers dropped a closely-contested, 3-1, decision in IAC bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.
BOYS
Tioga 4, Edison 0Junior Kolton Pond led Tioga to a 4-0 win over Thomas A. Edison, which had just two blowers competing.
Pond rolled a 547 series, including a 200 in the second game, while sophomore Rocco Fariello shot a 508, and sophomore Dylan Slater had a 501.
Jarrett Myers rolled a 477 for the Tigers, while freshman Gage Cain added a 435, and freshman Frank Chapman tacked on a 361.
Reed Cook rolled a 455 in reserve for the Tigers.
Robert French led Edison with a 430 series.
GIRLS
Edison 3, Tioga 1Tioga won the first game by 70 points, but Edison rallied to win the next two, and total pinfall by 15 pins in a 3-1 win.
Tioga won the first game 637-567, but Edison responded with a win by the identical score of 637-567. In the third game, Edison won 568-553 or a total-pinfall victory of 1,772 to 1,757.
Bailey Elston led Tioga with a 411 series, while Mackenzie Macumber rolled a 345, Caroline Chapman shot a 339, and Destini Sweet had a 337.
BobbiJo Tarbox added a 321 for Tioga, and Jaime Card tacked on a 285.
Cassie Birney rolled a 335 in reserve for Tioga.
Elizabeth Kelley led Edison with a 441, and Tori Dupont added a 433.
Tioga returns to action Thursday against O-M at the Harborside Lanes in Watkins Glen.
