WELLSBORO "” Karlee Bartlow and Emma Bronson combined for 19 points to lead Athens to a 29-17 win over Wellsboro here Friday evening in NTL Large School Division junior varsity girls basketball action.

Olivia Bartlow scored five points in the first half, and Karlee Bartlow added four points as the junior Lady Wildcats took a 13-8 lead into the halftime locker room.

Athens extended its lead to six points, at 20-14, entering the final eight minutes, then made 7 of 11 free throws in the final stanza to secure the win.

Karlee Bartlow led Athens with 10 points and four steals, while Bronson had nine points, six steals, and three blocked shots, Olivia Bartlow added five points, eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocked shots, and Natalie Watson grabbed four boards and blocked one shot.

Athens hosts Windsor Monday in a non-league contest.
