Brendyn Stillman, a junior on the St. Bonaventure baseball team, had 10 hits, including four home runs, in his first Division I action, and Sayre grad
Matt Williams had three multi-hit games in the Bonnies season-opening three-game sweep here Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, Williams, a junior, homered and doubled, scored two runs, and had three RBI in a 12-3 win over Mount St. Mary's. Stillman singled, scored one run, and had two RBI.
In the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday, Stillman was 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double, three runs scored, and four RBI. Williams singled twice in an 11-9 win.
In the nightcap, Stillman was 5-for-5 with two more home runs, four runs scored, and four RBI, while Williams was 4-for-5 with a home run, one run scored, and two RBI in an 11-2 win.
Tioga grad
Pierce Hendershot, a freshman, appeared in all three games. He was was 0-for-2, with one walk and one strikeout.
On the season, Stillman is hitting .714 (10 hits in 14 ABs) with four home runs, one double, eight runs scored, and 10 RBI. He walked twice and struck out once.
Williams is hitting .533 (8 hits in 15 ABs) with two doubles, one home run, three runs scored and five RBI. He walked twice.
Stillman played two years at Herkimer Community College, and was an All-American.
St. Bonaventure returns to action this weekend in a three-game set against North Dakota St. Friday's game is at North Charlotte Park in Port Charlotte, Fla. Saturday's doubleheader is at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda, Fla.
