COLLEGE BASEBALL: TIOGA GRAD HENDERSHOT HITLESS IN PENN STATE'S FINAL GAME BEFORE BIG TEN SUSPENDS SEASON (2020-03-14)

OXFORD, Ohio - Tioga grad Parker Hendershot, a junior on the Penn State baseball team, was 0-for-2, in what may or may not be, the Nittany Lions' final baseball game of the season - a 5-1 non-league loss here to Miami here Thursday night.

The Big Ten originally canceled the remainder of the 2020 season due to concerns over the Coronavirus, but have since backtracked and will instead suspend play until April 6 before re-evaluating the situation.

On the season, Hendershot is hitting .273 (12 hits in 44 ABs) with one triple, one home run, five RBI and 10 runs scored. He has walked four times, and struck out nine times, and has five multi-hit games, including a three-hit game against Princeton on Feb. 28.

Defensively, Hendershot is flawless at first base in 57 defensive chances, with 54 putouts and three assists.
