Alex Tomasso shot a career-best round on Tuesday to help Merrimack College to an 11th-place finish here at the two-day Lonnie Barton Invitational at the 5,917-yard, par-72 LPGA International course.
Tomasso opened the tournament with a round of 83 on Monday, but bounced back to fire a 5-over par round of 77, including a birdie on the 17th hole.
Tomasso's two-day total of 160 was good for 26th place in the 88-player field.
Fairleigh Dickinson won the team title with a two-day total of 592, well ahead of runner-up Bethune-Cookman and St. Francis, which both tallied 623 strokes. Merrimack amassed 678 strokes - 10 strokes behind 10th-place Siena College.
On Thursday, the Northeast Conference canceled all remaining competitions and practices for the 2020 spring season.
