Waverly freshman Zach Vanderpool finished the season with second-best average in the IAC, led the Wolverines to a division title, and is the 2019-20 Valley Sports Report "Bowler of the Year."
Tioga freshman Gage Cain posted impressive numbers in his first varsity season, and is the "Newcomer of the Year."
Vanderpool logged a 216.7 average, leading the Wolverines to a regular-season Large School Division title. He had a 737 high series this season, which was second highest in league for the season, and a 277 high game, which was third highest.
Vanderpool finished third at the IAC Championships with a 682 series, was 25th at Class C Championships with a 568, and finished 22nd at the Section IV State Qualifier with a nine-game set of 1,874 (208.2 average).
Cain posted a166 average to help the Tigers to a Small School Division title. His average was good for fourth on the team.
Cain logged a high series of 613 and a high game of 213, and finished 23rd at the Class D Championships with a 494 series.

Derrick Canfield, senior, Waverly: Canfield had the third-best average in the IAC at 201.4. He posted a high series of 704, with a high game of 266.
He was a key contributor in Waverly's division title run, finished ninth at the IAC Championships with a 617 series, and finished 24th at the state qualifier with a nine-game set of 1,864 (207.1 average).
Victoria Houseknecht, freshman, Waverly: Victoria Houseknecht logged the third-highest average in the IAC at 176.1.
She posted the high series in IAC this year with a 649 and the high game with a 279.
Rachel Houseknecht, 8th-grader Waverly: Rachel Houseknecht posted the fifth-best average in the IAC at 174.9.
She placed fifth at the IAC Championships with a 593 series and a high game of 234.
Kolton Pond, junior, Tioga: Pond posted the ninth-best average in the IAC with a 190.8, leading Tioga to a Small School Division title. He had a high series of 613, with a high game of 247
Pond finished seventh at the Class D Championships with a 586 series, and was 31st at state qualifier with a nine-game set of 1,688 (187.6 average).
Rocco Fariello, sophomore Tioga: Fariello had the 10th-highest average in the IAC at 186.6 to help Tioga to a Small School Division title. He posted a 660 high series with a high game of 258.
He finished fourth at the IAC Championships with a 660 series, and was 24th at Class D Championships.
Matt Mauersberg, junior, Waverly: Mauersberg had the 11th-best average in the IAC at 184.0. He posted a high series of 653 and a high game of 269.
He finished 10th at the IAC Championships with a 610 series, was 11th at the Class C Championships with a 592 series, and finished 15th at the state qualifier with a nine-game set of 1,904 (211.6 average).
