COLLEGE SOFTBALL: WAVERLY GRAD KRAFT COLLECTS SIX HITS IN FIVE GAMES BEFORE SEASON CANCELED (2020-03-24)

Valley Sports Report
CLEMENT, Fla. - Waverly grad Shailei Kraft, a junior on the Dominican College softball team, started slow this season, but had six hits in five games before the season was canceled on March 13 due to concerns surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kraft, who had just one hit in eight at-bats in the first four games, had a two-hit game in Dominican College's 15-7 win over Indiana University of Pa. on March 9.

She also had one hit in each game of a doubleheader split with Stonehill College on March 11.

In what turned out to be the final game of the season, Kraft rapped out a pair of singles in a 6-2 loss to Northern State University.

Kraft finished the season with a .333 average (7 hits in 21 ABs), with four runs scores, one RBI, and one stolen base.

Dominican College finished the season with a 6-4 record.
