YOUTH SOFTBALL: VALLEY STORM 16U, 18U TEAMS BACK ON THE FIELD (May 31, 2020)

ATHENS - The crack of the bat, and the pop of the mitt was back in the air Sunday afternoon as the Valley Storm 18U and 16U travel softball teams scrimmaged here on the Athens Area High School field.

"It's good to be back on the field," said 18U coach Chris Bennett.

"It's been a tough spring for these girls, having to miss their high school softball seasons," he noted. "I can't wait to see what they do this summer."

As of now, the Valley Storm has six tournaments on its summer schedule:

"¢ June 13-14, Williamsport;

"¢ June 20-21, Williamsport;

"¢ July 4-5, Williamsport;

"¢ July 11-12, Bloomsburg;

"¢ July 17-19, Olean;

"¢ July 25-26, Williamsport.
