WAVERLY — Jack Pipher pitched a complete game, and the Bradford Hospitality Indians scored early and often in a 13-3 win over Naglee Moving & Storage Angels here Monday evening in Waverly Little League Majors Division baseball action.
Pipher scattered seven hits over five innings, allowing three runs — two earned — in the win. He struck out three and walked three.
The Indians scored three runs in the top of first inning, tacked on another in the second, and plated four runs in the third to take an 8-0 lead.
Griffin Walter doubled and singled, scored two runs, and drove in two runs, and Pipher singled twice, scored three runs, and knocked in two runs to lead the Indians at the plate.
Hogan Shaw doubled, scored one run, and had two RBI, and Jerry Carnrike singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs in the win, while Justin Koenig singled and scored a pair of runs, Ben Shaw crossed the plate twice, and Cullen Sharpsteen and Nick Robbins each scored one run.
Luciano Thomas doubled and singled and scored two runs, and Hayden Roskow was 2-for-2 to lead the Angels at the plate, while Gianni Thomas singled and scored one run, Jaxon Chandler singled and knocked in one run, and Elijah Hobday added a single.
Logan Roskow had the best turn on the mound for the Angels. He allowed three runs — two earned — on two hits, while striking out four and walking two in two innings of work.
The first-place Indians improve to 4-0, while the Angels fall to 0-4.
