WAVERLY "” The New Image / Tom's Hardware Pirates took control with four runs in the home half of the fourth inning on its way to a 7-3 win over the Naglee Moving & Storage Angels here Saturday morning in Waverly Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The Angels scored a run in the top of third inning to tie the game at 2-2, but the Pirates answered with one run in the bottom of the third, and four more in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead.

Bryce Laforest doubled twice and scored one run, and Brendan Cooke singled twice, scored one run, and drove in two runs to pace the Pirates' seven-hit attack.

Connor Davidson singled and scored two runs in the win, while Rhylee Stotler singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, Brandon Bennett singled and scored one run, and Andrew Larrabee and Haley Larrabee each scored one run.

Connor Davidson earned the win, allowing two runs - one earned - on four hits, while striking out 10 and walking two in 3 2/3 innings of work.

Cooke registered the save, allowing one unearned run on one hit, while striking out six and walking one in 2 1/3 innings of relief.

Elijah Hobday stroked three singles, scored one run, and drove in one run, while Luciano Thomas doubled and drove in one run, and Jaxon Chandler added a single to account for the Angels' five hits. Logan Roskow and Jesse Gennarelli each scored one run for the Angels.

Hobday was tagged with the loss, allowing seven runs - four earned - on seven hits, while striking out three and walking three in a complete-game, five-inning effort.

The Pirates improve to 3-5, while the Angels fall to 0-8.
