WAVERLY - The Hemp Geek / Bradford Hospitality Indians pulled out an extra-inning win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader, but the Blue Jays rolled to a 14-2 win in the nightcap in Waverly Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The Blue Jays forced extra inning with four runs in the bottom of the sixth of the first game, but the Indians plated an unearned run in the top of the seventh for an 8-7 victory.

In the nightcap, the Blue Jays pounded out 13 hits, handing the Indians just their second loss of the season.

Indians 8, Blue Jays 7
Nick Robbins doubled and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh inning to help the Indians to an 8-7 extra-inning win over the Blue Jays in the first game of a doubleheader.

The Indians took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning on an RBI single by Rylan Yeakel and a two-run single by Jerry Carnrike, but the Blue Jays answered with a pair of runs in the home half, the first coming home on an RBI single by McQuay.

Robbins made it 4-2 in the top of the fourth inning with an RBI single, but the Blue Jays trimmed the deficit to 4-3 with an unearned run in he bottom of the fifth inning.

Pipher stroked an RBI single, and Griffin Walter belted a two-run double in the top of the sixth to give the Indians a 7-3 lead, but the Blue Jays answered in the home half of the inning, tying the game on a two-run double by McQuay.

Robbins led off the top of the seventh with a double that one-hopped off the fence in left-center field. He advanced to third on a passed ball, and scooted home when the throw to third sailed into left field.

Robbins had three hits, including a double, scored three runs, and drove in one run, and Carnrike doubled and singled, and had two RBI to lead the Indians at the plate.

Walter doubled and drove in two runs in the win, while Pipher and Koenig each singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, Nicholas Oakes singled and scored one run, and Shaw worked three walks and scored two runs.

Walter started on the mound for the Indians, allowing four runs - three earned - on seven hits, while striking out 11 and walking one.

Pipher, the Indians' third pitcher, earned the win, striking out three and walking one in 1 2/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief.

McQuay had three hits, including a double, and three RBI, and Cooper Robinson stroked three singles, scored three runs, and knocked in one run to lead the Blue Jays at the plate.

Charan Venkataswamy singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, while Brandon Bennett singled and scored one run, Lucas Pradun added a single, and Derek Johnson and Caden Vanderhoof each crossed the plate once.

Robinson started for the Blue Jays and retired all four batters he faced, including two by strike outs.

Blue Jays 14, Indians 2
Lucas Pradun, Karson Sipley, and Cooper Robinson led the Blue Jays' offensive barrage in a 14-2 five-inning rout of the Indians in the nightcap of the twinbill.

The Indians scored two runs in the home half of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead, but the Blue Jays scored three runs in the top of the third, and five runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to pull away.

Pradun was 4-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and five RBI, while Robinson was 3-for-3 with four runs scored, and Sipley had three hits, including a triple and a double, two runs scored, and four RBI.

Venkataswamy doubled and scored two runs for the Blue Jays, while Rylan Yeakel singled and drove in one run, Derek Johnson singled, scored one run, and knocked in one run, and McQuay and Vanderhoof each scored one run.

Sipley entered the game in relief in the first inning, and finished the game to earn the win. He fanned eight and walked one in five-innings of two-hit scoreless relief.

Koenig singled twice and had two RBI and Pipher singled and scored to account for the Indians' three hits. Ben Shaw scored a run for the Indians.

Pipher started on the mound for the Indians, and had the best turn, allowing one run on three hits in two innings, while striking out three and walking one.

The Indians are 8-2 on the season, while the Blue Jays are 4-6.
