NTL CROSS COUNTRY: SAYRE'S CLAYPOOL EARNS WIN IN FIRST MEET OF SEASON (September 15, 2020)

WYALUSING "" Coming off two major knee surgeries in the last three years, senior Carrie Claypool opened the 2020 season with a win here Tuesday afternoon in a double-dual NTL cross country meet.

The Lady Redskins dropped a 20-42 decision to Wyalusing, and a 20-43 decision to Wellsboro.

Claypool clocked in at 22:15, besting Wyalusing's Carina Beebe (22:38), Kayla Beebe (22:38), Sierra Allen (23:03, and Catherine Brown (23:20), who finished second through fifth, respectively.

Sayre's Corey Ault finished eighth against Wyalusing and ninth against Wellsboro with a time of 29:00.

Maddie Bryant clocked in at 23:45 to lead Wellsboro.

Wyalusing 15, Sayre 50
Nate Romano, Sayre's lone runner, finished eighth against Wyalusing, and third against Wellsboro, which only had three runners. He clocked in at 22:32.

Sayre dropped a 15-50 decision to Wyalusing.
