NEW OCCUPANCY RATE FOR HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS IN PENNSYLVANIA (2020-10-06)

The Pennsylvania Governor's office has released new attendance guidelines for indoor and outdoor events, including high school sports.

On indoor events when the maximum occupancy is 0-2,000 people, the allowable rate is 20 percent of maximum capacity. When the occupancy rate is 2,001-10,000 the rate is 15 percent of maximum and when it is more than 10,000 people the rate is 10 percent or up to 3,750 people.

Outdoor events are higher. An outdoor venue with a maximum occupancy of 0-2,000 people will have a rate of 25 percent, a maximum occupancy of 2,001-10,000 will have a rate of 20 percent and a maximum occupancy of over 10,000 can use up 15 percent of capacity or up to 7,500 people.
