SAYRE — Something had to give.

Williamson notched its first win of the season here Tuesday night, topping winless Sayre, 3-1, in NTL volleyball action.

The Lady Warriors won the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-16. The Lady Redskins stayed alive with a 25-14 win in the third set, but Williamson closed it out with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.

Elizabeth Boyle recorded 17 setter assists and five digs, and Gabbi Randall registered 10 kills to lead Sayre, while Aliyah Rawlings had four kills, three digs, and two service aces, and Maddison Belles recorded five kills, three digs, and two assists.

Gianna Quattrini had three kills and three digs for Sayre, while Alex Frisbee had six digs, Rachel Vandermark added three kills and two digs, and Gabby Shaw chipped in with three kills and one block.

Sayre, now 0-8, hosts Canton Wednesday night.
