THE VALLEY "" There's a limited slate of action Wednesday, and all three events are on the road, including the Athens girls soccer team looking to get back on track in the county seat.

GIRLS SOCCER
Sayre (1-7) at Wyalusing (7-2), 4 p.m.: The Lady Redskins are coming off a 12-0 loss at NEB Saturday, while the Lady Rams notched the biggest win in program history Monday, a 2-1 victory over first-place Athens.

Athens (7-1-1) at Towanda (6-5), 6 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming of a 2-1 loss at Wyalusing Monday - their first league loss since 2015, while the Lady Knights blanked Williamson, 3-0.

VOLLEYBALL
Athens (7-3) at Wellsboro (5-2), 6 p.m. JV start: These teams will clash again for the second time in 24 hours, flowing the Lady Wildcats' five-set win at home Tuesday night.

Both teams trail unbeaten North Penn-Liberty in the NTL standings.
