ATHENS "” The Athens boys and girls teams both recorded wins over Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield, but dropped decisions to NEB here Tuesday afternoon in NTL junior high cross country action at Round Top Park.

GIRLS
NEB 19, Athens 38

Athens 26, NP-M 29
NEB took five of the top six spots, with only Athens' Sarah Bronson bearing up their pack.

Bronson finished second in a time of 11:38, while Olivia Cheresnowski and McKenna Patton were 10th and 11, respectively, in 14:59, and Victoria Gao was 13th in 15:16. Parker Meyers finished 20th in 20:37 for the junior Wildcats.

Athens 15, NP-M 50
Athens' Carter Lewis and Ethan Hicks finished 2-3, but Northeast Bradford have five of the top seven runners to earn three wins.

Lewis clocked in at 10:29, while Hicks crossed the line in 10:38.

Aiden Oldroyd and Pierce Oldroyd finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in times of 12:54 and 12:56, while Ty Lezak was 14th in 13:46, and Ryan Gorman was 15th in 14:26.

Jack Cheresnowski was 17th for Athens in a time of 15:26, while Aryan Gaur was 18th in 19:32, and Ethan Talada was 20th in 27:59.
