VALLEY BOWLING CENTER: SCORES RISE IN LAST TWO WEEKS OF LEAGUE BOWLING (October 27, 2020)

Valley Sports Report
WAVERLY - Scores were up over the last two weeks of league bowling here at the Valley Bowling Center, with former Waverly High School standout Chris Elizondo rolling the high series in that span, and Chris Card firing his second 800 series of the season.

Elizondo rolled an 812, and Card recorded an 810, while Kenny Ellis just missed an honor score with a 799.

Glenn Fassett and Gil Nelson rolled perfect games, while Kenny Ellis and Kevin Kirk just missed perfection with games of 299 and 298, respectively. Don Sharpsteen had a 297.

Elizondo wasn't the only young lion to hit the Top 20. Former Waverly High standouts Jared Joseph rolled a 773 to claim fifth, and Dustin Wright was eighth with a 758.

Tara Schanbacher topped the women's docket with a 742, and Teresa Silvernail rolled a 700. Schanbacher rolled the high game for the two-week span with a 258.

Arthur Mayer led the senior men's field with a 732 series, while Allen Dade, William Johnson, and Don Sharpsteen share high-game honors with a 267.

Regina Thomas led the senior women's division with a 472 series and a 182 high game.

In the youth ranks, Gage Cain rolled a 641 series, and Zach Vanderpool had the high game with a 231 to lead the boys.

Rachel Houseknecht fired a 635 series and a high game of 256 to lead the girls.
