NTL PUSHES BACK START OF 2020-21 WINTER SPORTS SEASON (2020-11-17)

The Northern Tier League announced Tuesday it would push back the start of the winter sports season after a vote held Monday at its fall meeting.

Winter season practices were slated to begin Friday, but now are pushed back to Dec. 7.

The first NTL competitions, which were originally slated for Dec. 11, have been pushed back to Jan. 4. However, non-league competitions may be allowed in December.

The NTL Showdown for 2021 has also been canceled and will resume in the 2021-22 season.

In other news, Valley athletic directors officially announced the cancellation of the 2020 Valley Christmas Basketball Tournaments.
