NTL FOOTBALL: ATHENS LANDS 30 ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM, SAYRE 10 (2021-01-10)

ATHENS "” The Northern Tier League announced its All-Academic football teams, and Athens and Sayre were both well-represented.

Athens had a league-high 30 academic all-stars, including 17 first-teamers, while Sayre had 10 make the cut, including eight on the first team.

The first team, or the Gold Team, requires a GPA of 3.8 or higher, while the second team (Silver Team) all-stars boast a GPA between 3.4 and 3.79, and the third team (Bronze Team) have GPAs ranging from 3.0 to 3.39.

First Team - GOLD (3.8 GPA or higher)
Athens

Juniors: Karter Rude, Josiah Stringham, Logan Minard, Ethan Wilcox.

Sayre
