THE VALLEY "" The Athens wrestlers host their first dual of the season, and the Waverly bowlers are at the Valley Bowling Center for the only two events in the Valley on a busy Thursday of action.

And, the Athens swimmers open their season at Towanda.

WRESTLING
Bloomsburg (0-2) at Athens (1-0), 5 p.m. junior high start:
The Wildcats are coming off a 40-22 loss to NTL powerhouse Canton, while the Panthers dropped a 61-9 decision to Selinsgrove.

Bloomsburg has a pair of wrestlers - Ashton Horan at 126 and Nick Wharton at 160 - who are 2-0 after their first two matches.

Sayre at Troy, 6 p.m. junior high start:
The Redskins are coming off a 54-18 loss to Williamson Tuesday, while the Trojans are opening the 2021 season.

SWIMMING
Athens, Danville at Towanda, 4:30 p.m.:
The Wildcat swim teams look to repeat last year's success and repeat as NTL champs.

They open the season against league rival Towanda, and traditional powerhouse Danville.

BOYS BOWLING
Tioga (3-1) at Edison, 4 p.m. @ Rossi Lanes:
The Tioga boys are coming off a big 3-1 win over Waverly in a battle of last year's IAC division champs.

The Tigers will be traveling to Rossi Lanes in Elmira, possibly their only away match this season. The remainder of their matches are schedule to be virtual, with both teams competing at their home centers.

Waverly (1-3) vs. Watkins Glen, 3:30 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 3-1 loss to defending Small School champ Tioga Tuesday, while the Senecas knocked off arch-rival O-M, 3-1, at Harborside Lanes.

Waverly will be bowling at the Valley Bowling Center, while Watkins Glen will bowl at Harborside Lanes.

GIRLS BOWLING
Waverly (4-0) vs. Watkins Glen (0-4), 3:30 p.m.:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off a sweep of Tioga, while the Lady Senecas were swept by arch-rival O-M.

Tioga (0-4) at Edison, 4 p.m. @ Rossi Lanes:
The Lady Tigers were swept by Waverly Tuesday, and will travel to Rossi Lanes in Elmira this afternoon, for what could be their only away match of the season.
