THE VALLEY "”  Friday night features just two basketball games, but both are here in the Valley, with the Sayre and Athens boys hosting NTL rivals.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Wyalusing at Sayre (1-1), 6 p.m. varsity start: The Redskins are coming off a 68-58 loss at Canton Tuesday, while the Rams open their 2021 campaign tonight.

Wyalusing (19-8 in 201920) started last season 11-1, and eventually reached the District IV, Class AA title game, dropping a 60-41 decision to Bloomsburg.

The Rams beat Sayre, 42-32, at home last year.

Wellsboro at Athens (1-2, 1-1), 6 p.m. JV start: The Wildcats are coming off a 70-53 decision to Troy Wednesday night, while the Green Hornets open the 2021 season.

Wellsboro is coming off a 10-12 season, including a pair of losses (71-51 at Athens, and 76-71 at home) to Athens.
