THE VALLEY "” Wrestling takes center stage Tuesday, with Athens on the road to renew its bitter rivalry with Wyalusing, while short-handed Sayre hosts North Penn-Liberty, which is also dealing with numbers issues.

The Athens swim team are also at home, hosting Towanda on Parents' Night.

WRESTLING
Athens (4-3) at Wyalusing (1-0), 5:30 p.m. junior high start: The Wildcats are coming off a strong performance at the Line Mountain Duals, where they posted a 3-2 record, while Wyalusing won its season-opener, 48-20, at Tunkhannock Thursday.

Wyalusing topped Athens, 40-37. In 2019, the Rams topped the Wildcats, 38-33.

NP-Liberty at Sayre (0-3), 6 p.m. junior high start: The Redskins are coming off a 78-0 loss to Canton Saturday, while the Mountaineers open the season tonight.

The Redskins have had just three wrestlers in their line-up to this point, while NP-L has just six on its roster.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Athens (3-1 overall, 2-0 NTL) at NP-Mansfield (0-1, 0-1), 6 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 28-22 win at Wellsboro Saturday, while the Lady Tigers dropped a 44-26 decision at home to Canton.
