IAC GIRLS BOWLING: WAVERLY REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH SWEEP OF NOTRE DAME (2021-01-22)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY "” Sophomore Victoria Houseknecht narrowly missed another 600, but it was more than enough to help Waverly to a sweep of Notre Dame Thursday afternoon in a "virtual" IAC Large School Division boys bowling match.
The Lady Wolverines, now 16-0, rolled a 2,404 team series here at the Valley Bowling Center, while the Lady Crusaders posted a 1,946 series at Rossi Lanes in Elmira.
Waverly the first game 784-611, then finished off the series with wins of 828-655, and 792-680.
Victoria Houseknecht rolled a 599 series, which included matching games of 208, while freshman Rachel Houseknecht shot a 523, and sophomore Shantilly Decker had a 473.
Senior Haley Kittle had a 414 for Waverly, while junior Sage Garrison added a 368, and 8th-grader Serenity Clark chipped in with a 324.
Erin Connolly led Notre Dame with a 437 series.
Waverly returns to action Tuesday in a "virtual" match against Newark Valley.
