WAVERLY - Waverly sophomore Zach Vanderpool set a new IAC record with an 834 series to win the gold medal, and help Waverly to a third-place finish Saturday at the virtual league championships.

Tioga, bowling at the Valley Bowling Center, won the team gold with a 3,187 series, while SVEC (Owego Bowl) was second with a 2,968, followed by Waverly with a 2,957, Lansing (Cort-Lanes) was fourth with a 2,661, and Notre Dame (Dixie Lanes) was fifth with a 2,471.
