THE VALLEY "” The Athens girls and Sayre boys basketball teams open the final week of the regular season at home, while the Tioga wrestlers are on the road.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Wyalusing (9-4 overall, 9-4 NTL Large) at Athens (13-5, 10-2), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 42-37 non-league loss at home to Central Columbia Saturday, while the Lady Rams topped NP-M, 52-35.

Athens trails division-leading Towanda (11-0) by two games in the loss column, while Wyalusing is four back and has been mathematically eliminated from division title contention.

In their first meeting, Wyalusing edged Athens at home, 31-28.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Canton (8-7, 6-6 NTL Small) at Sayre (4-10, 4-9), 6 p.m. varsity start:
The Redskins are coming off a 65-27 win over Williamson Saturday afternoon, while the Warriors upset NP-M, 85-72.

Earlier this season, Canton topped Sayre, 68-58, at home.

WRESTLING
Tioga (1-0) at O-M / Watkins Glen (1-1), 5:30 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a dominant performance against Owego in a non-scoring event, while the Seneca Indians dropped a 36-24 decision to Waverly.

The Seneca Indians have three unbeaten wrestlers in the early-going: sophomore Gabe Williams is 2-0 at 145, junior Dom Fazzary is 3-0 at 152 pounds, and 8th-grader Brody Williams is 2-0 at 160.
