BURLINGTON, Vt. - Waverly grad Sheridan Talada, a freshman on Binghamton University's cross country team, finished sixth in her first collegiate meet - the Vermont Quad Meet - here Saturday.

In a field of 30 runners, Talada clocked in at 17:53.8 to finish third among Lady Bearcat runners in the 6K race.

Waverly grad Elizabeth Fritzen, also a freshman, was 24th overall in a time of 19:31.8. She finished ninth among BU runners.

Binghamton earned three team wins, finishing with 22 placement points, while Albany had 36 points, Hartford had 81. Vermont had just two runners in the race.

Binghamton returns to action March 5 at the America East Conference Championships at Stony Brook.
