TIOGA CENTER - Tioga used a fourth-quarter rally to pull out a back-and-fourth, 39-34, win over Waverly here Tuesday night in IAC junior varsity boys basketball action.

Jay Pipher scored four points in the first quarter for Waverly, while Valentino Rossi and Karson Sindoni scored four points apiece as the two teams battled to a 10-10 tie after the first eight minutes.

Gavin Fisher scored five points in the second quarter for the junior Tigers to fuel a 12-2 run that gave Tioga a 22-12 lead at the halftime intermission.

The junior Wolverines, however, roared back in the third quarter as Pipher and Isaiah Bretz scored five points apiece and Nehemiah Anthony added four in an 18-5 run that put Waverly ahead to 30-27 entering the final eight minutes.

In the fourth quarter, Fisher scored four points and Rossi and Ethan Landmesser aded three points apiece, and Tioga made 6 of 7 shots from the free-throw line in a 12-4 spurt.

Rossi and Fisher scored 11 points apiece to lead Tioga, while Sindoni added eight points, and Bryce Bailey chipped in with four.

Pipher led Waverly with nine points and five steals, while Anthony added eight points and three rebounds, Bretz had seven points, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists, Nate DeLill chipped in with four points and eight rebounds, and Jake VanHouten grabbed six boards.
