TIOGA CENTER - Donavan Smith won his 100th career match and knocked off a former Section IV, Division I champion to highlight a non-scoring tri-meet with Newark Valley and Elmira here Saturday.

Smith pinned Newark Valley's Kaiden Pado in 58 seconds for his 100th win, then faced Elmira's Lucas Riley in his second bout. Riley, a four-time top-three sectional place-winner, who won a title in 2019, scored the first point on a second-period escape, but Smith tied the match near the one-minute mark of the final period. Despite a solid leg attack by Smith late in the third period, the bout went to sudden victory. Smith would pick up the takedown in the extra session for the 3-1 triumph.

Smith was one of 10 multiple winners for Tioga. Caden Bellis posted a 5-0 mark on the day with four pins and a technical fall. Levi Bellis, Zac Kotsubka, Tyler Roe and Gianni Silvestri each went 4-0, winning all their bouts by fall. Deakon Bailey contributed two pins and a tech fall, Ethan Agan and John Woodcock added two pins apiece, and Emmett Wood won by pin and tech fall. Hunter Feathers, Trent Browne and Josh Snell tacked on one victory apiece.

In modified matches, Kadin Cole, Logan Bellis, Brennan Sindoni and Jake Browne each went 3-0. Shawn Widrig, Tate MaCauley and Austin Babcock were all 2-0, and Garrett Godfrey added a win.

The meet consisted of 64 varsity bouts and 28 modified matches. The Tigers went 36-8 in varsity matches and 19-7 in modified bouts. Two of the modified matches pitted Tioga teammates against one another.

Tioga hosts SVEC Wednesday in the season finale.
