THE VALLEY - The "Battle at the Border" baseball and softball showcases at Waverly and Tioga takes center stage today.

Waverly and Tioga will host their Pa. Valley rivals on the baseball diamond today, while the Waverly, Athens, and Tioga softball teams will play each other at Waverly.

BASEBALL
Sayre (10-0) at Tioga, 10 a.m.: The Redskins are coming off their 10th straight win to start the season - a 10-2 rain-shortened, five-inning win over North Penn-Mansfield Wednesday, while the Tigers will open their 2021 campaign.

Athens (7-6) at Waverly, 10 a.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 21-4 rout of Towanda Friday, while the Wolverines open their 2021 season.

Sayre at Waverly, 1 p.m.

Athens at Tioga, 1 p.m.

SOFTBALL
Tioga at Waverly, 10 a.m.: The IAC rivals open their 2021 seasons.

Athens (11-3) at Waverly, noon: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 9-5 win over Towanda Friday.

Athens vs. Tioga, 2 p.m. @ Waverly.
