OSWEGO — Waverly grad Zoe Mennig
, a junior on the Oswego State softball team, had her 12-game hitting streak snapped Saturday in a doubleheader at SUNY Brockport.
Mennig had six multi-hit games during her 12-game hit streak — including a four-hit game, and two three-hit games, and batted .537 (22 hits in 41 at-bats) during that stretch.
She also had three doubles, one triple, and three home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored, and four stolen bases during the hit streak.
On Saturday, Mennig was 0-for-6, with a walk and a run scored in a doubleheader at Brockport.
On the season, Mennig is batting .466 (27 hits in 58 at-bats) with five doubles, one triple, three home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and four stolen bases.
Mennig, a catcher, has thrown out two runners attempting to steal, and a .962 fielding percentage. She has played seven games (48 defensive changes) in a row without an error.
Oswego, now 7-11, returns to action Tuesday when it hosts SUNY Cortland in a doubleheader.
