WOMEN'S COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: TIOGA GRAD PASSETTI EARNS PAIR OF EMPIRE 8 CONFERENCE HONORS IN ONE WEEK (2021-05-10)

Holly Passetti, a senior on the Alfred University women's track & field team.
Last Monday, Passetti was named the Empire 8's "Women's Track Athlete of the Week" after her performance at SUNY Geneses's "It's Gonna By May Meet."
Passetti finished second in the steeplechase event with a personal-best time of 12:23.14 - more than 32 seconds faster than her previous best (12:55.18). Her time was the fastest time in the Empire 8 in the event.
On Friday, Passetti earned all-conference honors at the Empire 8 Outdoor Track & Field Championships at St. John Fisher College.
Passetti chopped nearly 13 1/2 seconds off here personal-best time, finished second in the conference with a time of 12:09.69.
Passetti's runs in the steeplechase Monday and Friday were the second and third times she's competed in the event this season.
Passetti also finished fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:10.54.
