THE VALLEY — The overall IAC baseball and softball championship games take center stage this afternoon, with Waverly baseball and Tioga softball playing for titles.

BASEBALL
Overall IAC Championship
Waverly (14-4) at Trumansburg (7-2), 3 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 21-6 win over Union Springs in the semifinals Thursday, while the Blue Raiders topped Dryden Friday in the other semi-final game.

Trumansburg’s losses came at the hands of Tioga and Lansing, while all four of Waverly’s losses were of the non-league variety — Athens, U-E, Horseheads, and Corning.

Waverly is looking to win its second IAC title in a row, and third in four seasons.

SOFTBALL
Overall IAC Championship
Tioga (11-3) at Notre Dame (12-4), 4 p.m.:
The Lady Tigers are coming off a 17-0 win over Union Springs in the IAC Small School title game Thursday, while the Lady Crusaders thumped Lansing, 19-1, in the IAC Large School championship tilt.

Tioga’s losses this season were to Waverly, Athens, and S-VE, while Notre Dame’s losses came at the hands of non-league foes — Horseheads, Elmira, Vestal, and U-E.

Owego at Waverly (7-10), noon: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 2-0 loss at Union-Endicott Friday, while the Lady Indians rolled to a 21-1 win over Seton Catholic.
