WAVERLY "” Waverly had four underclassmen named first-team all-IAC Division 3 all-stars, and three more earn honorable mention recognition in recent voting by the division's coaches.

FIRST TEAM
Caden Hollywood, junior, P / 1B, Waverly:
Hollywood was a force on both sides of the ball for the Wolverines, but was the mainstay of the pitching staff.

Hollywood was 6-1 with a 2.60 ERA. He allowed just 29 hits in 37 2/3 innings, striking out 31.  Opposing batters hit just .215 against him.

Hollywood hit a team-high .500 (33 hits in 66 ABs) with four doubled, one triple, 11 stolen bases, 18 RBI, and 21 runs scored. He drew seven walks for a .570 on-base percentage. He had a 1.1161 OPS.

Ty Beeman, sophomore, C / P, Waverly: A very good defensive catcher, Beeman led the Wolverines with 26 RBI. He hit .344 (22 hits in 64 ABs) with three doubles, six stolen bases, one home run, and 22 runs scored. He worked 10 walks and had a .442 on-base percentage.

On the mound, Beeman recorded two saves and had a 2.90 ERA. He struck out 13 in 9 2/3 innings. Opponents hit .161 against him.

Jay Pipher, freshman, 2B / SS, Waverly: A slick-fielding middle infielder, Pipher hit .381 (24 hits in 63 ABs) with a team-high eight doubles, one triple, seven stolen bases, 17 RBI, and 22 runs scored. Pipher drew a team-high 20 walks for a .524 on-base percentage. He had a 1.083 OPS.

Joey Tomasso, freshman, P / SS, Waverly: A strong-armed shortstop, Tomasso hit .357 (25 hits in 70 ABs) with six doubles, a team-best two triples, 21 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and a team-high 29 runs scored. He was hit by pitches seven times, and walked five times for an on-base percentage of .446.

Other first-team selection in Division 3 were: Mitch Shipman, Ryan Wiser, and Connor Boothroyd - Dryden; Owen Stewart, Jahmeire Keyser, and Stephen Gough, Bryson Smith - Whitney Point; Logan Jewell "” SVEC; and Alex Hoes and Dominic Fazzary - O-M / Watkins Glen.

HONORABLE MENTION
Thomas Hand, junior, OF, Waverly:
A speedster who covers a lot of ground in the outfield, Hand was second on the team with 28 runs scored and recorded a team-high 14 stolen bases. He hit .338 (22 hits in 65 ABs) with three doubles, one triple, and six RBI. He walked 10 times and was hit by pitched five times for a .463 on-base percentage.

Brennan Traub, junior, IF, Waverly: A versatile player, Traub hit .382 (26 hits in 68 ABs) with three doubles, 16 RBI, seven stolen bases, and 17 runs scored.

Brady Blauvelt, junior, OF, Waverly: Blauvelt came on strong at the end of the season with 10 hits in his final 19 at-bats. On the season, Blauvelt hit .429 (18 hits in 42 ABs) with three doubles, one triple, 11 RBI, and 11 runs scored.

Other receiving honorable mention honors in Division 3 were: Bradley Perry, Nolan Weik, Johnny Pascarella, Colton Dow, and Nathaniel Dow - Dryden; Jayden Grube - SVEC; and Danniel Lewis and Cameron Holland "” O-M / Watkins Glen.
