ATHENS - The Athens and Canton girls basketball teams squared off Tuesday evening in the hot and humid confines of the Athens Area Area High School gymnasium with the 2021-22 season on their collective minds.

For Athens it was the first time the ball has touched the hardwoods without recent grad Kayleigh Miller on the floor since the 2016-17 season ended.

The Lady Wildcats will return Caydence Macik, Mya Thompson, Emma Bronson, and Karlee Bartlow. to go along with incoming freshman Addison Wheeler.
