NTL GOLF: VanDUZER LEADS SAYRE TO WIN AT JERRY SMITH OPEN (4 PHOTOS) (2021-09-10)

TOWANDA - Senior Kannon VanDuzer led Sayre to the team title at the Jerry Smith Memorial Open here Thursday at the Towanda Country Club.

The Redskins fired a three-player team aggregate of 262, with Wyalusing second at 274, and Tunkhannock third at 284.

VanDuzer fired an 81. He opened the day with a birdie on the par-4 first hole, and also birdied the par-4 12th hole, and the par-5 15th hole.

Junior Colton Watkins finished sixth with a round of 90, and senior Dylan Seck tied for seventh with a 91. David Hall tacked on a non-scoring round of 136.

Sayre returns to action Tuesday at the River Valley Country Club in Westfield.
