IAC VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS GRAD MARTIN, WAVERLY GRAD MEYERS CONTRIBUTING AT ELMIRA COLLEGE (2021-09-12)

ELMIRA — A pair of Valley grads — Athens’ Mimi Martin and Waverly Sydney Meyers — contributed in Elmira College’s back-to-back volleyball wins.

Martin, a junior, had 4.5 service points, including four aces, and four digs in two sets, and Meyers, a sophomore, junior, had three points, including one ace, two kills, and three digs in three sets. Both started in the Lady Soaring Eagles’ sweep of Keystone College Sept. 3.

On Friday, Martin recorded four service points, including one ace, three kills, and three digs in two sets, while Meyers came off the bench and had three digs in two sets in a sweep of Cazenovia College.

Elmira College returns to action this weekend at the Oswego State Invitational, where they will face Potsdam and Oswego State Friday, and Canton and St. Lawrence on Saturday.
