THE VALLEY "” Athens hosts Sayre in a renewal of their volleyball rivalry, and the Athens boys host Wellsboro in a key NTL soccer contest at Alumni Stadium in the marquee match-ups of the night.

BOYS SOCCER
Waverly (3-2) at SVEC (2-3), 4:30 p.m. @ Candor H.S.: The Wolverines are coming off a 4-1 loss to Trumansburg Thursday, while the Eagles  blanked O-M, 9-0.

SVEC topped Waverly, 4-1, two weeks ago.

Wellsboro (3-1-2, 3-0-1 NTL) at Athens (3-3, 2-0), 5:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off an 8-0 win over Galeton Thursday, while the Green Hornets are coming off a 5-1 win over Troy Saturday.

Athens losses have come against Danville, Midd-West, and Horseheads, while Wellsboro lost to South Williamsport, and tied Loyalsock and NEB.

VOLLEYBALL
Sayre (1-4) at Athens, 6 p.m.: The Lady Redskins are coming off a 3-0 loss to Canton Saturday, while the Lady Wildcats swept Cowanesque Valley for their first win of the season.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Waverly (1-1) at Dryden (1-3), 5 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off an 86-81 loss to Southern Cayuga, while the Lady Purple Lions dropped a 119-57 decision to Dryden.
