WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: VALLEY DUO RUNS FOR MISERICORDIA IN FIRST-PLACE FINISH AT DeSALES INVITE (2021-10-10)

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Sayre grad Kayla Hughey, a sophomore on the Misericordia women's cross country team, finished eighth for the Lady Cougars, who won the DeSales Cross Country Invitational here Saturday.

Misericordia claimed the team title with 55 placement points, and Kutztown was second with 90 points..

Hughey finished 54th overall (in the field of 179 runners), clocking in at 25:36.3 on the 6K (3.73 miles) course.

Athens grad Sophie Adams, also a sophomore, finished 102nd in 27:26.1.

Misericordia returns to action Saturday at Rowan University.
