THE VALLEY "" There are 11 events on a crowded Tuesday schedule, but only one - the Tioga girls soccer season finale - is in the Valley. The marquee match-up has the Athens boys at Wellsboro in a match with league title implications.

BOYS SOCCER
Athens (8-6 overall, 6-1 NTL) at Wellsboro (8-2-2, 6-0-1 NTL), 5:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 3-2 win over Williamsport Saturday, while the Green Hornets blanked Galeton, 5-0.

Wellsboro sits atop the league standings by virtue of a 5-3 win over Athens earlier this season.

Waverly (7-4) at Newfield (8-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 7-1 win over Odessa-Montour Thursday, while the Trojans dropped a 3-1 decision at SVEC.

Sophomore Griff Schillmoeller has scored four goals in back-to-back games for Waverly.

GIRLS SOCCER
Waverly (8-1-3) at Dryden (7-2), 6 p.m.: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 3-0 win over SVEC Friday afternoon, while the Lady Purple Lions topped Marathon.

Moravia at Tioga (1-9-1), 6 p.m.: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 4-1 loss to Newfield, and wrap up the 2021 campaign at home.

VOLLEYBALL
Waverly (4-3) at Edison (7-4), 5 p.m. JV start: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 3-0 loss at Candor Monday, while the Lady Spartans topped Newark Valley, 3-1, Friday night.

Athens (3-4) at Wellsboro (3-6), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 3-1 win over Troy Sept. 30, while the Lady Hornets dropped a 3-1 decision to North Penn-Liberty Thursday.

Sayre (1-9) at Williamson (8-3), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Redskins are coming off a 3-0 loss to Cowanesque Valley Thursday, while the Lady Warriors rallied for a 3-2 win over Northern Potter Saturday.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Waverly (5-2) at Watkins Glen (7-0), 4:30 p.m.: These two IAC rivals faced each other Thursday, with the Lady Senecas winning all 10 swimming events in a 111-74 win over the Lady Wolverines.

FIELD HOCKEY
Tioga at Moravia, 4:30 p.m.: The winless Lady Tigers wrap up the 2021 campaign this afternoon at Moravia.

CROSS COUNTRY
Sayre, Troy, Towanda at Wellsboro, 4:30 p.m.:
