MEN'S COLLEGE SWIMMING: WAVERLY GRAD ATANASOFF QUAD-WINNER IN RIT WIN OVER CLARKSON

ROCHESTER — Waverly grad Mike Atanasoff
, a sophomore on the RIT men’s swim team was a quad-winner in the Tigers’ 221-73 win over Clarkson recently.
Atanasoff, who had 12 wins in RIT’s first four meets. won the 50-yard freestyle in 21.88 seconds, and the 100-yard freestyle in 48.34 seconds.
Atanasoff swam the freestyle leg in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 21.61 seconds. The Tiger foursome clocked in 1:36.56 to win the event.
He swam the anchor leg in the 200-yard free relay in a time of 21.48 seconds. The foursome clocked in with the fastest time in the event at 1:27.22.
Atanasoff did not swim in RIT’s loss to Gannon Saturday.
The Tigers, now 4-1, return to action Saturday, Nov. 20 at Ithaca College.
