Gabbi Randall four games to put her name in the Corning Community College women's basketball record books.
Randall, a 5-10 freshman, hauled down a school-29 rebounds, including a school record 16 offensive boards, to lead the Lady Red Barons to their first win of the season - a 68-52 decision at Mohawk CC Sunday. She also had 12 points, four assists, and one block.
The 29 total rebounds eclipsed the record of 26 set by Angie Moon in 1995-96, the 16 offensive board topped the previous mark of 13 set by Jessica Deming in 1994-95.
Randall becomes the second Valley player currently with a school record at Corning. Athens grad Mackenzie Warner dished out a school-record 17 assists against Broome CC during the 2017-18 season.
In her collegiate debut on Nov. 2, Randall scored two points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 103-37 loss at Niagara CC.
On Nov. 6, Randall had four points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a 70-38 home loss to North Country CC.
On Saturday, Randall had four points, four rebounds, and three assists in a 78-52 loss at Herkimer College.
Corning, now 1-3, returns to action Saturday when it hosts SUNY Adirondack.
