Bri Rossi, won its first two matches at the NCJAA Division III volleyball championships, but lost the next two,, including a semi-final match-up against top-seeded Rock Valley College, to finish fourth in the nation.
In their first match, Broome topped Brookhaven College (6-18) of Farmer's Branch, Tx,, 3-1.
Rossi, a freshman, played in all four sets and recorded four digs.
The Lady Hornets swept Central Lakes College (21-10) of Brainerd, Minn. in their second match.
Rossi played in all three sets, and had three digs and one assist.
Broome's perfect season came to an end in the semifinals, a 3-0 loss to top-seeded Rock Valley College (34-7) of Rockford, Ill.
Rossi had four digs and one assist in the three sets.
In their final match, the Lady Hornets dropped a 3-1 decision to the Minnesota State Community & Technical College of Fergus Falls, Minn.
Rossi had a career-high 17 digs in the loss.
Broome CC finishes the season at 18-2.
