Scott Woodring, a freshman on the Mansfield University men's basketball team, scored a career-high 12 points here Saturday, but the Mountaineers dropped their fourth straight decision to start the season.
Woodring, who has started all four games, made 4 of 7 shots from the field, and was 4-for-7 at the free-throw line in loss. He also had a career-high two blocked shots
On Tuesday, Woodring scored 10 points and grabbed six boards, to go along with two assists, and one steal.
On the season, Woodring, who scored in double-figures in three of Mansfield's four games, is averaging 9.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, as well as 1.3 assists, 1 block, and 0.5 steals. He is shooting 42.11 percent from the field, and is 1-for-1 from behind the 3-point arc.
Mansfield returns to action Nov. 29 at Frostburg State.
