WAVERLY - Senior Dylan Slater and junior Gage Cain opened the 2021-22 season with big 600 series to lead Tioga to a sweep of Odessa-Montour here Tuesday afternoon in IAC bowling action, while the Lady Tigers dropped a 3-1 decision.

BOYS
Tioga 4, O-M 0

Dylan Slater banged out a 699 series on games of 267, 203, and 229, and Cain rolled a 671 on games of 210, 255, and 206 to lead the Tigers to a lopsided sweep,

Tioga won the first game 1,007-578, then followed it up with wins of 1,032-599 and 975-668 for a total-pinfall victory of 3,014 to 1,845.

Eighth-grader Nick Slater shot a 598 series for Tioga, finishing with games of 222 and 207, while senior Rocco Fariello rolled a 543, junior Frank Chapman tacked on a 486 series and senior Alex Middendorf tacked on a 398.

Dom Elliott led O-M with a 491 series.

GIRLS
O-M 3, Tioga 1

The Lady Tigers won the first game, 657-614, but O-M rallied to win the next two by scores of 760-632 and 704-639 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,078 to 1,928 for a 3-1 decision.

Sophomore Chloe Gillette led Tioga with a 470 series, including a 198 high game, while junior Caroline Chapman shots a 458, and junior Bobbi Jo Tarbox had a 386.

Junior Jamie Card added a 314 series for the Lady Tigers, and sophomore Allie Creller tacked on a 300.

Jana Arias led O-M with a 467 series.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Candor at the Valley Bowling Center.
