IAC BOYS BOWLING: FARIELLO LEADS TIOGA IN SWEEP OF GROTON (2022-01-12)

GROTON — Senior Rocco Fariello led a balanced Tioga line-up in a sweep of Groton here Wednesday afternoon in IAC Small School boys bowling action at Memory Lanes.

The Tigers won the first game 850-813, then closed out the match with wins of 892-711 and 882-853 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,624 to 2,377.

Fariello rolled a 587 series, including games of 213 and 204, to lead Tioga, while junior Brad Webb shot a 560, including a 205, 8th-grader Nick Slater had a 538, including a 202, and junior Gage Cain added a 525.

Senior Dylan Slater had a 414 in the sweep, and junior Frank Chapman tacked on a 377.

Jason Raberstein led Groton with a 525 series.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday at O-M.
