NEW YORK STATE SWIMMING: TWO OF WAVERLY'S RELAYS, SACKETT SEEDED IN TOP 10 AT STATE MEET (2022-03-02)

ITHACA — Waverly will have four swimmers competing this weekend at the New York State Swimming & Diving Championships here at Ithaca College.

The Wolverine foursome of senior Kaden Wheeler, and juniors Jerrell Sackett, Oscar Williams, and Ryan Clark qualified in all three relays, while Sackett and Wheeler each qualified in one individual event.

The foursome is the fourth seed seed in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a seed time of 1:27.61. The top seed is 1:26.93.

Their 400-meter freestyle relay time of 3:15.2 is good for the 10th seed. The top seed time is 3:09.21.

They are seeded 22nd in 200-yard medley relay with a seed rime of 1:39.23, with the top seed time at 1:33.97.

Sackett is the sixth seed in the 50-yard freestyle with a seed time of 21.27 seconds. The top seed time is 20.8 seconds, while the 25th seed is 21.75 seconds.

Wheeler is the 41st seed in the 100-yard butterfly with a seed tome of 53.41 seconds. The top seed is 50.16 seconds.

The action begins Friday morning at 9:30 a.m.
